Ashley Hayek, President
Golden State Consultants
Hard work, determination, and tenacity have allowed Ashley Hayek to break through barriers including age and gender. These qualities have helped her become an integral part of the San Diego political scene.
Ashley Hayek started her political career right after graduating from University of California at San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Fresh out of college, she joined the Lincoln Club and became involved with membership. In the past, the membership and the leadership had been mostly male. When she joined, she had the vision of having more young women being part of the dialogue of the club. Her career goal was to break into the political fundraising world, which as a young woman was quite rare.
Ashley has done far more than just break into political fundraising. In 2006, she founded her own political fundraising firm Golden State Consultants. Over the past 10 years she has worked with state and local leaders raising millions of dollars for their campaigns. She has done this as her husband, Brian Hayek, USMC, had been active military on several deployments, while raising three young children.
Ashley serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity and La Cuna, and is a member of the Republican Women’s Federation, the San Diego County Taxpayers Association, the Lincoln Club of San Diego County, the National Latina Business Women Association and the Young Republican Federation of San Diego.
