Empowering Women in Transition
Confidence is an essential skill that we all need in order to be successful in life. When women build confidence, there are no limits to their new possibilities. —Dana Bristol-Smith
When life hasn’t turned out the way you wanted, it’s hard to have a positive outlook and feel confident. It’s also hard to trust others and build new relationships that are supportive.
Confidence is an inner strength you need to move forward successfully in life. This workshop is for women who are rebuilding their lives. It will help you build self-confidence and improve your outlook on life—giving you the courage to share out loud what you have to offer and open new doors of opportunity.
I know that without the Leap to Confidence classes I would have never asked for and received a raise at my current job and obtained this higher paying day job. Or had the confidence to work two jobs at once.
I will never be able express in words my most sincere appreciation. —Carrie
Why Confidence Matters
The program will assist you in building self-esteem, self- confidence and communication skills that you can use:
- During job interviews
- At meetings and social events
- On the job and to help get promotions
- And, when building your own network of new friends and mentors.
The program format is seven weekly two-hour sessions of classroom meetings with homework activities. Designed for women overcoming major life challenges, many of the participants are currently living in homeless shelters and transitional housing. This safe, supportive environment helps them rebuild confidence and move to the next stage of their lives. All graduates are invited to attend the Empowerment Circle, a monthly follow up class.
