Introducing the Confidence Project

[O]ccasionally a project, job, program or situation comes along with such impeccable timing you can’t help but thank the universe for your being exactly where you needed to be at exactly the right time.  That’s how I feel about this project, The Confidence Project. At a time when my own confidence was at a new all time low, and my life in extreme flux,  I was asked to ask a few questions on the subject of confidence and put them together as inspiration for a song to be especially written for Leap to Success as well as an introduction to and inspiration for a new blog.

So, with three little questions I started on my journey towards uncovering what confidence looks like and would like to begin this blog by sharing the answer that has inspired me most so far, and ask also if you wouldn’t mind sharing some of your answers to those three questions here on our blog.

What if I were confident…
How would I feel?  What would I do?  Who would I be?

When I asked a recent participant in July 2012’s Communicate With Confidence class, she answered, “I would fly and I would glide. I can see the wind blowing in my hair.”  I fell in love with that vision. It just about sums it up. With confidence you really can fly and glide and I think I would like to try that. So as I continue to ask these questions and explore the subject of confidence I hope to learn how to get more of it so that I can see the wind blowing in my hair.

So, what about you—How would you feel? What would you do? Who would you be?

“It’s important to be willing to make mistakes.
The worst thing that can happen is you become memorable.”
–Sara Blakely, SPANX founder

A confident woman doesn’t just move through the world; she shapes it! How does she do that? Her optimism and resilience inspire more authentic and engaging connections, resulting in stronger relationships. She doesn’t sweat the small stuff and is better equipped to handle criticism, rejection, and setbacks with not only grace but style.

A confident woman knows (and understands) how to network, build trust, set trends, and operate from a position of strength. Her confidence is more than just personal power–it’s social currency. #leaptoconfidence #confidence #comebacks #plottwist #herstory #connection #women #empowerment
