Kudos for “Communicate with Confidence”

From:
Sr. Carmel Lohan
Chaplaincy Program Manager
St. Vincent de Paul Village

1. Why should Community members care about homeless women?

  • They are our sisters.
  • They have the potential to become great citizens and leaders

2. What are some of the changes you have seen from women who have attended Communicate With Confidence:

They have grown in self esteem and respect for themselves and others. They ‘get it’ that they are someone who can change the world. They have a greater incentive to remain clean and sober and can influence others to do so. They realize that D.V. is not acceptable.

 3. How have the women changed who have graduated from the Leadership program?

They have become happier in themselves and able to show that in their smiles, their body language and their testimony. They are no longer ashamed but can and do speak and act with confidence. They have a support system in place that helps them be content with who they are and where they are at in this phase of their lives. They can let go of the past, and not be haunted or deterred by it.

“It’s important to be willing to make mistakes.
The worst thing that can happen is you become memorable.”
–Sara Blakely, SPANX founder

A confident woman doesn’t just move through the world; she shapes it! How does she do that? Her optimism and resilience inspire more authentic and engaging connections, resulting in stronger relationships. She doesn’t sweat the small stuff and is better equipped to handle criticism, rejection, and setbacks with not only grace but style.

A confident woman knows (and understands) how to network, build trust, set trends, and operate from a position of strength. Her confidence is more than just personal power–it’s social currency. #leaptoconfidence #confidence #comebacks #plottwist #herstory #connection #women #empowerment
