THE JOURNEY FROM HOPELESS TO EMPOWERED
Life can be very difficult when you:
- Experience verbal, emotional, and/or physical abuse
- Self-soothe though alcohol or drugs
- Lose your job and have difficulty finding a new one
- Lose a loved one, experience death or divorce
- Become depressed, isolated, and lose hope
These situations can lead to feeling that one is powerless.
Empowerment Creates Transformation
Our students are provided tools and experience to help them develop new habits and skills. As we all know, if we want to get new results in our lives, we need to act in new ways. In order to change our life, we have to change ourselves.
The life-changing skills we teach include how to:
- Acknowledge yourself positively
- Set goals and take actions
- Reframe negative thoughts and beliefs with positive affirmations
- Be able to give and receive support
- Share ideas, visions and goals with others
- Set and manage boundaries
- Speak up for yourself and learn to say “no” when you want and need to
- Make the best of how you present yourself with dress, style, and colors
- Release shame and share the power of your story
Which ultimately allows you to:
- accept your past and what you have learned
- release that which no longer serves you
- acknowledge who you’ve become as a result of adversity—a victor, not a victim
- serve others by sharing the hope and inspiration from the story of your success
