Our Programs
Leap to Confidence supports women in transition and is designed to re-build their confidence in order to improve their opportunities for employment. Most of the women who attend this course are living in domestic violence or homeless shelters, and many are receiving counseling services due to crisis or trauma. More: [weaver_showhide]
Serving up to 25 participants, this six-week class improves communication skills and awareness on how to present a more positive image. The setting provides a safe space where the women develop supportive friendships and cultivate trust with other women. For some, this is a new experience where they discover their own potential, building confidence and vision for a future where self sufficiency becomes possible.[/weaver_showhide]
Transformation Leadership is a year-long professional development and leadership program. Building confidence and public speaking skills, women become role models and leaders, and inspire hundreds of other women through our Graduate Outreach. More: [weaver_showhide]
Nominees go through an intensive application process, as well as phone and in-person interviews to determine if they are emotionally, psychologically and physically safe and ready for this program. The women selected to participate, demonstrate leadership potential, express a strong desire to change their life, show a high level of commitment, and want to empower others.
Phase One: Learning consists of 10 weeks of classroom instruction, 10 one-to-one life coaching sessions, and group mentoring. Previous graduates of the program come to the classes to mentor the participants, sharing their own experiences, strategies for how they tackled homework assignments, and tips for successfully completing the class. As former participants who have reached a level of success, these mentors provide credibility and inspiration.
After a woman graduates from ten weeks in the classroom intensive, she attends Phase Two: Giving Back with monthly educational meetings and community outreach events for the balance of the year.[/weaver_showhide]
