Leap to Success began in 2008 as a grassroots volunteer project, founded by Dana Bristol-Smith, with a simple but powerful goal: to help women rebuild their confidence and their lives after experiencing major life challenges.
By 2013, our growing impact led us to incorporate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in San Diego County.
Today, Leap to Success provides no-cost, trauma-informed programs that help women who are healing from domestic violence, homelessness, and other forms of adversity. Through personal and professional development training, women gain the tools to break cycles of abuse, dysfunction, and poverty—and take bold steps toward a brighter future.
Since our founding, we’ve served more than 3,000 women across San Diego County and beyond. Our programs are delivered both in person and online, making them accessible and convenient to attend.
We partner with nearly 50 social service agencies and community organizations, who refer women to our programs. Together, we’re creating a network of support and opportunity—helping women reclaim their voices, rebuild their confidence, and transform their lives and communities.
When women rise, entire communities rise with them. We invite you to be part of this movement for healing, growth, and empowerment.
