She turned her dreams into plans

cantstocansShe turned her can’ts into cans and her dreams into plans. I read this and think of the women who come to our programs. They are no longer willing to focus on all of the things that they haven’t done. They are ready to focus on what they want instead of what they don’t.

I think about quiet Jenny. When she first came to our Leap to Confidence class we could barely hear her, she spoke so softly. She kept her head down and didn’t make much eye contact. On graduation day she proclaimed that she didn’t want to be that quiet person anymore and that she was finished letting other people make decisions for her.

Jenny realized that she was in control of her life. She was ready to say what she wanted out loud. She was ready to turn her can’ts into cans and her dreams into plans.

What are you ready for?

“When the heart is at ease, the body is healthy.”

–Chinese Proverb

Did you know that a woman’s self-worth has healing powers? It’s true. A woman who values and prioritizes herself tends to experience more restful sleep, lower blood pressure, lower cortisol (the stress hormone!), a stronger immune system, and a healthier heart!

Not only does this give her more energy and endurance, but it also lowers her risk for disease, including heart attack and stroke. A woman’s sense of self-worth helps to provide more brain power and balances out hormone levels, resulting in better moods. And if that weren’t enough, it can contribute to a glowing complexion!

Her strong sense of self-worth doesn’t just improve her chances of living longer; it boosts the probability of her living well!

When a woman practices gratitude, she recognizes her value and the good around her. Instead of dwelling on what’s missing, she celebrates what she already has—and that builds confidence.

Confidence isn’t just about believing in yourself—it’s also about appreciating the journey that got you here. 😊✨

Drop in the comments below what you are feeling grateful for today.
