The I Leap Award Honors Women Who Have Broken Barriers and Overcome Adversity
This October, in conjunction with Domestic Violence Awareness month and in celebration of reaching the milestone of serving 1,000 women, Leap to Success is launching the “I Leap Award” to recognize bold women in our community who inspire other women to break through barriers and take courageous action.
We invite you to think of someone who has impacted your life and our community who you would like to see considered for this prestigious award.
Help us find and recognize extraordinary women from your organization, faith community, neighborhood or family.
Our Selection Committee is looking for nominees that meet the following criteria:
A woman who:
- Has achieved significant personal and career goals, possibly as the first woman to do so.
- Has overcome adversity/broken through barriers in her own life.
- Poverty, cultural, gender, domestic abuse, illness, homelessness, substance abuse,
or other major life challenge.
- Poverty, cultural, gender, domestic abuse, illness, homelessness, substance abuse,
- Is an inspiring role model to women.
- Is a leader in her community and/or her organization.
What is the I Leap Award Prize?
Each award winner will receive:
- A beautiful custom designed I Leap Award
- Recognition and publicity via social and traditional media
- A video interview featuring her advice to inspire other women
