Leaping Past the Biggest Obstacle of All – Fear

I sat in the audience with 500 people in awe, with a swelling sense of pride. I listened to a courageous woman talk about getting past her own fears and reaching out for help. Science tells us that a confident woman lives a longer, healthier, and more abundant life. So, what is her secret? It begins when she steps out of bed every morning and approaches the day with courage, confidence, and determination. Her sense of self is her own. It is not tied to the approval of others, and the anti-aging serum that she swears by is the organic mixture of optimism, resilience, social connection, curiosity, purpose, and gratitude.

She does not concern herself with drama. Instead, she regulates her emotions, thereby lowering her blood pressure, improving her sleep, and helping her feel better. A woman’s confidence is more than just a pretty face packaged in a positive attitude. It is a powerful life extender, allowing her to be present longer for her family, friends, and community.

At the same time, a woman’s confidence does not guarantee success, nor does it completely wipe away worry, self-doubt, and other pesky personal problems that threaten stress lines on her face. Even the most self-assured woman has days filled with fear and uncertainty. However, her consistency (i.e., confidence) is her best asset, and it works most effectively when accompanied by humility, awareness, courage, and effort.

Dr. TC North shares the 12 benefits of self-confidence in this article. Click here to read more: www.tcnorth.com/building-confidence/12-benefits-increasing-self-confidence/
